Golfing

There are four superb courses in Lancashire, located around the delightful resort of Lytham St Annes all within a 5 minute drive from our accommodation

Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club

Regular home to the legendary Open Championship

Follow in the triumphant footsteps of golfing greats like  Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros the world's best golfers do battle along its hallowed fairways, for the supreme award in British Golf

Since 1901, St Annes Old Links Golf Club

has offered the purest of links experiences,Golfers of all levels will be put to the test by the westerly winds, as well as four ponds which influence six of the course's holes.

Fairhaven Golf Club

Listed in both ‘The Best 10 ‘Open Championship’ Qualifying Courses&Great Britain & Irelands Best 10 Opening Holes’, Fairhaven is “a real hidden gem”, not only is it a beautiful place to play golf, but fully lives up to its designation as a ‘Championship’ course

Lytham Green Drive

Used as a final qualifying course for the 1974, 1979 and 1988 British Open Championships held at nearby Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club. Is a pleasant tree lined course, which although within a mile of the Irish Sea still retains its parkland characteristics. Don't be fooled by its apparent lack of length, at 6,305 yards it is indeed short by modern standards, but very small, well bunkered greens provide a more than adequate test.
